  4. Angel Falls in Venezuela
  5. Great Barrier Reef in Australia
  6. Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
  7. The Northern Lights Alaska, North Pole

The Grand Canyon was one of the first National parks in America, initiated by "Teddy" Roosevelt. In the picture above you can barely see the specs of those two people to the left, and understand the grandeur of it. Amazingly in all my travels, I have never been to The Grand Canyon. Someday soon, I will get to see it and there will be tears in my eyes over the sheer volume and beauty of it all.

2. Mt. Everest In Nepal

Its a beautiful picture with Mt. Everest in the background in the past they have had difficulty measuring this with the K-2, but the consensus is Everest absolutely is the tallest mountain in the world, and was 29,029, now 29,035 gained 6 feet in 1999. It is named after Sir George Everest 1865 a British surveyor of India. In 2009 alone it claimed 216 lives and hosted 4,102 accents.

3. Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls has a width of 5,604 ft and height of 354 ft forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The falls' maximum flow rate compares well with that of other major waterfalls..It looks like a big huge crack in the earth, with a 360ft drop, it is truly majestic. The water flow, is not too fast in the summer, and above the water falls people swim in the water. Some people actually swim to the edge of these falls!

4. Angel Falls

Angel Falls

Angel Falls is located in the Guayana highlands, one of five topographical regions of Venezuela. It plunges 2,421 feet to the river below, making it the tallest waterfall on earth. In total it is 15 times higher than Niagara Falls. This is so fascinating to see, a waterfall that looks like it is flowing from the top of a mountain, close to a half mile straight up!

5. The Great Barrier Reef

CNN selected the Great Barrier Reef as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It is the Icon of Queensland, Australia, A large part of the reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

These Northern Lights are fascinating also known as the polar lights, Aurora lights or Aurora Borealis is named after the Greek goddess Aurora of the dawn and boreallis the name for the worth wind, particularly in the polar regions, caused by the collision of charged particles directed by the Earth's magnetic field. An aurora is usually observed at night and typically occurs in the ionosphere. You can see these from Fairbanks Alaska.

You can also see the southern lights called aurora australis, in South America.
